Whether it’s an 18th, 40th, 65th or even 90th birthday celebration we are proud that People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience has played host to men and women from around the country celebrating milestone events in their life.

Colleen Balestrieri of Ocala, Florida, and  Vanda Bayliss, of Sarasota, Florida, dubbed themselves the ’Hard Hat Grandmas,’ when they were treated to the surprise of digging in the dirt at People at Play when Kim Wilson ( Colleen’s daughter and Vanda’s daughter-in-law) purchased them gift certificates just before she was about to have her first baby.

Jim Garrison of Easley, South Carolina, received the “Foreman” package as a birthday gift from his wife and his two grown children. Jim had a blast running the skid steer and excavator and he and his wife enjoyed a beautiful Florida vacation in addition to their fun experience with us.

And Centreville, Virginia’s Jim Hastings received his experience as a retirement gift/65th birthday present… his fun loving wife purchased the “Punkin’ Chunkin’ Package,” so along with running the excavator Jim got to smash a dozen ripe, orange pumpkins right around Halloween!

And then there are the surprises for no reason at all. Nancy Albright of Bradenton, Florida, bought a People at Play adventure for her husband John , “…just because he’s a great husband and I knew he would enjoy it. We don’t need a special occasion to celebrate.” And, of course, he did enjoy it.

Every ‘crew member’ booking the Operator, Foreman or Superintendent Packages gets to keep their hard hat and also receives a photograph e-mailed to them after their adventure with us so the memories can be shared with family and friends.
