Do you know what a Backhoe Rodeo is? Not a lot of people do, so let us enlighten you! A Backhoe Rodeo is a term used to describe a competition for heavy equipment operators where they can show-off their prowess and amazing skills operating all types of big construction machines.

We have created one-of-a-kind Challenge Courses based loosely on the idea of a “Backhoe Rodeo” competition and make them an integral part of the People at Play attraction. After each participant completes their practice time in the machine, our instructors move the Excavator and the Skid Steer Loader (commonly referred to as a “Bobcat”) into position on our course to test their newly developed skills. Along the way, an instructor provides feedback and assistance through radio communication.

Instead of just “digging” our participants get to accomplish a series of unique, fun (and sometimes a bit frustrating) challenges that have them cheering and beaming with pride once they are done. Each ‘crew member’ vies for a position on the exclusive People at Play Leaderboards and their photo is added to the Wall of Fame in the job trailer. Average time for completion of the Excavator Challenge Course is 40 minutes. Can you do better than average? Give us a call today and schedule your adventure playing in the dirt!
