People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience is a seasonal business available for booking on select weekends by appointment. For available dates in the coming weeks and months visit the "Booking Page" on this website. Times book up rather quickly so call or e-mail to check availability. We also own and operate an excavation and underground utility construction firm that we run during the week. Depending on our schedule we can sometimes accommodate weekday bookings for groups of four or more. Please contact us to discuss your group needs.
Yes, beautifully presented gift certificates for the Operator, Foreman and Superintendent Packages are available. They make a unique holiday gift, Father’s Day gift or birthday gift for those “grown up kids” in your life. For an additional fee of $15 we can ship the commemorative hard hard to you to wrap along with the certificate. With the hard hat we throw in some authentic construction caution tape for you to use to decorate your special gift. People at Play accepts MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover. You may also pay via PayPal by clicking the "Payment" link on this website.
Absolutely! Each participant can have as many people as they want (including children) come out and watch them participate. All spectators are required to sign a Spectator Release form. We also advise spectators to wear close-toed shoes to our site.
Participants can operate the construction equipment during a rain event -- it's an experience playing in the mud and dirt! Our programs are rarely cancelled due to inclement weather and usually only if lightning is present in the immediate area. If your adventure is cancelled due to an extreme weather event we will do our best to call you prior to the start of your session to reschedule.
To join our construction crew you must wear comfortable, close-toed shoes (sneakers or work boots). Additionally, all participants will get dusty and a little dirty during their participation. So, please, don’t wear your favorite clothes.
