Group Team Building

In addition to our individual packages, People at Play customizes events and team-building programs for corporate, social and incentive groups. All events are 100% custom tailored to your group’s specific needs and objectives. Whether the focus is on improving communication, inspiring new ways of thinking or simply having fun together, People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience is a team-building adventure unlike any other.

All group participants ‘join the construction crew’ and work to complete various ‘jobs’ of different complexities using their mental prowess and hand-eye coordination to master some of the world’s most extreme construction machines.

Group events require participation for an all-day program, which takes approximately 6 hours. Ideal group size is between 6 to 12 participants.

For information or to request a proposal, please e-mail alisa@comeplayinthedirt.com or call (941) 756-0886. No off-site food and beverage allowed. Catering and food and beverage service can be designed specifically to accommodate your team’s needs.

SAMPLE TEAM-BUILDING IDEAS

THE GRADING CHALLENGE
All crew members will begin by “clocking-in” at our job trailer and participating in a safety and machine orientation. Your crew will be divided into two teams. Selected crew members on each team will take turns learning to operate the equipment (15 min each).

Each Team will be given a Construction Superintendent and two machines (an Excavator and Skid Steer Loader) to utilize to compete in the “Grading Challenge.” Using problem solving and team work the two teams will each build a 20’ x 20’ building pad with their equipment and materials. On the schedule for your group’s work on the site: Fun, laughter and camaraderie!

MINI (EXCAVATOR) GOLF
FORE! It’s a group golf outing unlike any other…. using heavy construction equipment at People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience. All crew members will begin by “clocking-in” at our job trailer and participating in a safety and machine orientation. Each team (4 people) will have their very own CAT Mini Excavator. Each crew member on each team will take a turn learning to operate the equipment (15 minutes each). For those crew members waiting their turn fun games such as PVC marshmellow gun building & construction ‘corn-hole’ can be made available.

Once all “crew members” have had their chance to run the machine the group will be broken into three (3) teams of four (4) people. They will then compete in our version of golf – using the Mini-Excavator.

Both outings work best when the teams do NOT know what they will be doing on the machines. This prevents them from strategizing in anyway beforehand!
