Excavators, skid steers and bulldozers, Oh My! These construction machines can be intimidating to a novice who may be intrigued by the thought of operating one purely for fun. At People at Play: The Heavy Equipment Experience we use our years of experience in real-world construction applications and on all types of commercial job sites to teach you how to safety and effectively operate these powerful earthmoving machines.

Every participant or “crew member” is paired with an instructor that is also an experienced heavy equipment operator. In addition to being OSHA certified and trained to teach the subtle art of heavy equipment operation, each of our professional instructors uses our proprietary training methods that quickly allow you to get comfortable in the machine, knowing what to expect and how to make the machine respond to your movements.

A safety and machine video orientation begins your experience in the job trailer. After putting on your hard hat and visibility vest it’s time to ‘clock-in’ and get to work. Instructors then assist you in getting safety acclimated to the machine’s cab, going over each of the machine’s controls one more time and answering any questions that may arise.
